If your blinds are not working properly, here is an easy way to fix them.
If the slats are stuck and cannot be lowered, leave them mounted on the window then grab both the lift cords. Hold them level with the long metal bar that holds the blinds and gently pull down on the cords. If you do it properly, then the cord lock will be released and the blinds will lower. However, if this does not happen, remove the blinds by opening the doors on the brackets’ sides. If these are difficult to open, you can pry each door free using a screwdriver. Afterwards, you can get the blinds out of the brackets and lay them flat on a desk or table. Look inside the head rail and find the mechanism for the cord lock. If you see a pin beside it, take the screwdriver and press its end into the pin and the lock should be released. And there you have it; your blinds would be able to work once more.
